O ex-presidente do Senado Rodrigo Pacheco tomou posse nesta quarta-feira (30) no cargo de ministro do Tribunal de Contas da Uni\u00e3o (TCU). A nomea\u00e7\u00e3o foi publicada em edi\u00e7\u00e3o extra do Di\u00e1rio Oficial da Uni\u00e3o<\/em> de segunda-feira (28).<\/p>\nO ex-senador ocupa a vaga aberta com a sa\u00edda de Bruno Dantas, que deixou a corte de Contas para atuar na iniciativa privada. A indica\u00e7\u00e3o foi aprovada recentemente pelo Congresso Nacional.<\/strong><\/p>\nNascido em Porto Velho, Rond\u00f4nia, e criado em Minas Gerais, Rodrigo Pacheco tem 49 anos de idade, \u00e9 advogado, foi deputado federal antes de ser eleito senador, em 2018. No Senado, presidiu a Casa em dois mandatos consecutivos.<\/strong><\/p>\nNos \u00faltimos meses, o nome de Pacheco chegou a ser mencionado entre os poss\u00edveis indicados ao Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF). O senador tamb\u00e9m foi sondado para disputar o governo de Minas Gerais nas elei\u00e7\u00f5es de outubro, mas optou por n\u00e3o concorrer.<\/p>\n
O Tribunal de Contas da Uni\u00e3o \u00e9 composto por nove ministros. Tr\u00eas s\u00e3o indicados pelo presidente da Rep\u00fablica e seis s\u00e3o escolhidos pelo Congresso Nacional.
